The tools, and what they'd do for you

Every tool here runs on one of my own businesses today. Each one comes with a real example so you can picture it working for yours.

ABBY Tools · Custom programs and apps

Built exactly for your business

When off-the-shelf software doesn't fit, I design and build a custom program or app around the way you already work. It runs on phones and computers, needs nothing to install, and comes with plain-English training.

ExampleFor Predator Ridge golfers I built Marty the Marmot, a golf GPS and scorecard app that shows distances to the green and keeps score on your phone. The same approach can build a crew schedule for a contractor, a job tracker for a flooring company or a customer portal for a clinic.

Good for: businesses with a process no off-the-shelf app quite handles

Sarah · Calls & customers

AI receptionist

A friendly voice that answers your phone and texts 24/7, knows your services and prices, books appointments into your calendar, and texts you a summary of every call.

ExampleA landscaper is up a ladder at 2 p.m. Sarah answers, learns the caller wants a spring cleanup quote, books a site visit for Thursday and texts both of them a confirmation. The landscaper never touched the phone.

Good for: trades, clinics, rentals, any business that misses calls

Sarah · Calls & customers

Instant lead texts

Every form, call and chat on your site lands on your phone as a text within seconds, with the customer's name, number and what they want.

ExampleA homeowner fills in a form at 9 p.m. asking about an intercom for their gate. You see the text before bed and call first thing, ahead of the two other companies they also emailed.

Good for: anyone drowning in email

Question-to-page engine

The questions your customers actually ask become short answer pages, written so Google and AI assistants can quote them. New questions keep feeding new pages.

ExampleA pool and spa store hears "How often should I shock my hot tub?" ten times a week. That becomes a clear answer page with a 30-second video. Now Google sends that question to them instead of a big-box chain.

Good for: any business that answers the same questions over and over

Town pages

A fast, useful page for each community you serve, so you show up when someone searches in Coldstream, Lake Country or Armstrong, not only Vernon.

ExampleAn epoxy flooring company works across the North Okanagan but only ranked in Vernon. Pages for each town, with local job photos, put them in front of searchers in every one.

Good for: service businesses that travel to customers

Video answer library

You record a batch of short clips in one session from scripts I write. An AI presenter, clearly labelled as AI, explains the details, and you pop in for the insider tip. They go on YouTube and your site.

ExampleA permanent lighting installer records 12 one-line openers in an hour. They become 12 short videos answering "Can I change the colours from my phone?" and similar questions, working for them all year.

Good for: businesses with a story to tell and no time to film

Google Business Profile tune-up

Your map listing filled in completely and matched to your website: services, service areas, hours, photos, questions and answers.

ExampleAn artificial turf installer had a profile with three photos and no services listed. After a tune-up it shows every service, real project photos and answers to common questions, which is what the map pack looks for.

Good for: every local business

Instant estimate calculator

Customers enter a few details on your site and get a price range right away, then book a visit. You get a warmer lead with the numbers already filled in.

ExampleOn an epoxy flooring site, a customer enters a two-car garage and picks a flake finish. They see an estimated range, book a free measure, and you get a text with the size and finish they chose.

Good for: flooring, turf, lighting, renovations, cleaning

Online booking and payments

Customers pick a date, pay online and get a text confirmation. You see every booking in one place, and payments land in your account.

ExampleThis is the system behind my Coldstream boat rentals, which became the top rental in the region. Customers book a boat for Saturday, pay on their phone and get a reminder the day before. No phone tag.

Good for: rentals, tours, classes, appointments

Event and sign-up pages

A simple page where people sign up for an event, class or tasting, see who else is coming and get a reminder.

ExampleA winery runs a Thursday tasting night. Guests sign up from Instagram, pick a time slot, and the winery knows exactly how many glasses to pour.

Good for: wineries, studios, clubs, community groups

Itinerary planner

Visitors build their own day out on your site: which stops, in what order, how long to stay. It keeps them on your site and plans a visit that includes you.

ExampleOn my Lake Country site, visitors pick three wineries and get a route with drive times and lunch stops. A hotel or tour company could offer the same "plan your Okanagan weekend" tool.

Good for: hospitality, tourism, attractions

Live listing cards

Current listings shown on your own site with photos and prices, updated automatically, so buyers stay with you instead of leaving for a big portal.

ExampleA buyer browsing my Okanagan Landing waterfront site sees today's lakefront listings right there, with my insider notes, and books a showing without leaving the page.

Good for: REALTORS® and developers

Speed and search check-up

A printed, plain-English report on your site using Google's own scores: what's slowing it down, what Google can't see, and a fixed price to fix it.

ExampleA local firm's report showed a 23 MB home page and a mobile score of 54. The fix was a tune-up, not a new site, quoted in hours and dollars before any work started.

Good for: anyone who wants to know where they stand first
